Cheryl Hutton - MC

Registered Psychologist

I’m Cheryl, a Registered Psychologist and your ally in the deeper work that changes your life. You’ve been through a lot, felt the weight on your shoulders and persevered through it all. You’re not starting from scratch, you’re self aware, still, something feels like it’s missing. Maybe you’re second-guessing yourself, or holding back to fit in. Maybe you’re simply tired of performing and just want to feel at peace, fully and unapologetically yourself. That’s the work we’ll do together. I support people who are ready to clear what’s in the way and step into the life they were meant to live with purpose, presence, and clarity.

Lets create a life that is aligned with your true values and help you get  back in the drivers seat of your own  life, a place where you can learn and grow from the challenges you have been faced and promote resiliency through validating your experience, using our past as a guiding post rather than a hitching post. Our past does not define us as individuals, our current behaviors and what we do on a consistent bases is where our power lies, lets create a life of legacy and purpose.

A Bit About Me

Cheryl began her career in mental health in 2007, initially focused on supporting families with children diagnosed with developmental disabilities. She helped families navigate the unique challenges faced by both the child and the broader family system, and later earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Lethbridge in 2010.

Her career progressed when she became a Program Supervisor at a local not-for-profit organization, further strengthening her commitment to supporting families in need. In 2012, Cheryl expanded her expertise by completing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.

Cheryl’s clinical experience includes work with Alberta Health Services through the Diversion Services Program, supporting individuals with mental health challenges in their rehabilitation and reintegration into society. She later joined the Regional Collaborative Services Program (RCSD)—a partnership between Alberta Health Services and Southern Alberta rural school division designed to bridge the gap between community and school-based mental health services.

She also worked in the field of concurrent disorders, focusing on addiction treatment, before transitioning to return-to-work programming, where she continues to apply her diverse experience to help individuals achieve their personal and professional goals.

In 2019, Cheryl opened her private practice, where she draws on her extensive background to offer a holistic, whole-system approach to healing. With a focus on the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, Cheryl works with both individuals and couples to heal core emotional wounds, trauma, and deeply held core beliefs. She supports clients in navigating challenges, deepening self-awareness, and building healthier, more fulfilling lives

We honour the Blackfoot people, the Métis people, and all Indigenous Peoples—their enduring relationships with this land and the knowledge and care they have carried across generations. We are committed to ongoing reconciliation—listening, learning, and taking meaningful action to support the wellbeing of Indigenous individuals, families, and communities.
